I’m a DONA-certified birth doula with over 30 years of experience walking alongside families through one of life’s most powerful moments. As a charter member of the University of Tennessee Doula Collaboration, I support hospital births at UTMC and other Knoxville, East Tennesse area hospitals, home births, medicated and unmedicated births. I specialize in natural birth, twin births, VBAC, home birth and high-risk pregnancies, bringing a calm, peaceful, serene and knowledgeable guidance to every situation. Over the years, I’ve been honored to serve families in homes, hospitals, and birth centers—each setting offering its own unique rhythm and needs. My role is to meet you where you are, provide steady, genuine and compassionate support, and help you feel informed, empowered, and cared for every step of the way.
 

Denise was the best doula I could have asked for and I hope I have the honor of getting to use her again in the future. I was so nervous as I was preparing to be a first time mom and she met with me and talked with me prior to delivery as much as I wanted. She checked in on me often and I could tell she truly cared about me, my baby and my partner.
