Hello, I'm Denise, a dedicated doula with a passion for supporting families through the sacred journey of childbirth. With a strong Christian faith guiding my practice, I believe in serving all families with love and respect, honoring the unique path each one walks.

I try to meet families where they are and spend a lot of time listening and answering questions.  I enjoy making the birthing experience as natural as possible.

My experience at Providence St. Vincent's Hospital in Portland Oregon, has equipped me with extensive knowledge in hospital-based births, particularly in supporting families through complicated pregnancies. This background enables me to provide calm and confident support, ensuring you feel empowered and cared for during this transformative time. I am currently a charter member of the University of Tennessee Doula Collaboration, established in 2023. This collaborative team participates in advanced trainings and works closely with the hospital staff and providers to support clients’ needs while promoting the TeamBirth model of care.

My early years in the birth world were rooted in extensive experience with home births. These experiences deeply shaped my understanding of physiological birth and equipped me with essential tools to effectively support women who desire a natural childbirth.
