Meet Denise Pessemier
As a mother of four and an experienced Knoxville doula based in East Tennessee, with over three decades in the birth world, supporting and witnessing countless families welcome their babies, it’s an honor I never take for granted.
Every birth is unique, and I would be truly honored to walk alongside you in yours. Whether your journey includes a medicated or unmedicated birth, hospital or home setting, singleton or twins, VBAC, high-risk pregnancy, or you’re welcoming your first baby or your fourth — you deserve steady, compassionate support. Working Together in the Medical Community
Denise Pessemier works collaboratively with hospitals throughout Knoxville and the surrounding communities, including Oak Ridge, Farragut, Sevierville, Seymour, and Maryville, supporting a cohesive, team-based approach to care for the families she serves. She is current in Spinning Babies® and an active participant in the UT Medical Center Doula Collaborator Program. Through this program, she has received specialized training in operating room procedures, physiologic birth, and birth emergency scenarios.
She is in good standing with UT Medical Center, which allows her to support clients in triage, remain present during epidural placement, participate in scheduled cesarean birth spinal placement, and access comfort-support supplies throughout labor and delivery.
It is a privilege to work collaboratively with the nurses and providers at UT Medical, fostering a supportive and cohesive environment for the families being served.

Specializing in high-risk pregnancies, including VBAC/TOLAC births, twin births, gestational diabetes, to name a few but not limited to, I limit the number of clients I work with each month to ensure an exceptional level of care and attention for each family. I am available 24/7 to address questions, provide guidance, and support expectant mothers and their babies throughout the entire birthing journey.
